Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinyo Aogi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Sakaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aogi comes to the ring accompanied by "Baka Survivor" by Ulfus. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinyo Aogi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Sakaguchi! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aogi shoots in for a double leg but Sakaguchi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Aogi shoots for a double leg takedown but Sakaguchi sprawls well. He's pushed Aogi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sakaguchi gets caught flat footed, as Aogi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Aogi has gone for a leg lock! Sakaguchi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Aogi's guard. Aogi is trying to control the position but Sakaguchi postures up. Sakaguchi won't allow Aogi to sweep him here. Sakaguchi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Aogi is trying to control the position but Sakaguchi postures up. Sakaguchi gets to his feet. Aogi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Aogi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sakaguchi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Aogi momentarily.
Aogi has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinyo Aogi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Aogi or perhaps it was just good defense by Sakaguchi which made him look bad.

Sakaguchi checks a leg kick. Sakaguchi connects with a solid leg kick. Aogi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. No luck for Aogi with that takedown attempt. Sakaguchi looks to land a combination but Aogi avoids it well. Sakaguchi throws a nice outside leg kick. Sakaguchi stalks Aogi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Aogi's face. Aogi staggers backwards, shaken. Sakaguchi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aogi. Sakaguchi throws a right hand that Aogi ducks under and follows up with a left that Aogi also avoids with ease. No joy there for Sakaguchi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Aogi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sakaguchi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sakaguchi. Sakaguchi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aogi misses with a double jab
and Sakaguchi counters with a thumping low kick. A low kick from Aogi misses and Sakaguchi counters with a one-two to the body. Aogi fails with the takedown and Sakaguchi counters with a good low kick that Aogi was not able to check. Aogi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sakaguchi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sakaguchi. Sakaguchi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Aogi throws a leg kick and Sakaguchi counters with a series of strikes. Aogi will be more careful next time no doubt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aogi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sakaguchi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Danga de danga de dang - Sakaguchi scores with a four punch combination! Aogi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Sakaguchi fails in his attempt to clinch. Sakaguchi looks to land a combination but Aogi avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakaguchi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Aogi misses with a takedown and Sakaguchi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Aogi wants to get back to full guard. Sakaguchi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Sakaguchi wants to free his trapped foot but Aogi is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sakaguchi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Aogi wants to get back to full guard but Sakaguchi has mounted him! Sakaguchi trying to control but Aogi is having none of it.

Sakaguchi trying to control but he's not successful this time. Aogi is looking to improve his position but Sakaguchi isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sakaguchi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryo Sakaguchi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Aogi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sakaguchi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aogi won't be happy with that. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Aogi struggling a bit here. Aogi tries to improve position but can't. Aogi is working hard here to advance position. You can see the frustration on Aogi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Aogi is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Aogi controlling the position well. Aogi looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Sakaguchi pushes past his half guard into mount! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Aogi wants to control but Sakaguchi is having none of it. Aogi is working to get back to half guard.
Aogi is squirming around, avoiding Sakaguchi's attempts to control the action. Aogi slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Aogi gets back to full guard.
Sakaguchi wants to stand but Aogi is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryo Sakaguchi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Aogi trying to control from Sakaguchi's half guard. Sakaguchi has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aogi trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakaguchi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aogi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sakaguchi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Aogi trying to move into half guard but instead Sakaguchi has managed to sweep! Aogi is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Aogi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sakaguchi has picked Aogi up and slammed him! Aogi can't keep hold of the triangle and Sakaguchi manages to pass to side control! Sakaguchi stands up. The fight stays on the outside here - Sakaguchi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sakaguchi stalks Aogi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Aogi's face. Aogi staggers backwards, shaken. Aogi tries for a takedown but Sakaguchi circles away easily letting Sakaguchi counter with a right hand. Aogi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sakaguchi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sakaguchi is controlling the pace.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aogi looking for submissions off his back. Aogi wants to control the action here but instead Sakaguchi manages to pass to full mount! Sakaguchi trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ryo Sakaguchi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sakaguchi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryo Sakaguchi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sakaguchi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
