Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeru Subramaniam (ranked 5185 p4p, 113 weight class) and Jessie Alejandro (ranked 5187 p4p, 119 weight class). Zeru Subramaniam has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zeru Subramaniam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jessie Alejandro ! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alejandro throws a low kick but Subramaniam avoids it. Subramaniam defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alejandro . Subramaniam closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alejandro did well to prevent Subramaniam getting side control. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Subramaniam tries to stand but can't do so whilst Alejandro controls his leg. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Subramaniam lands a nice short elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Subramaniam in particular looking to stall. Alejandro taking some punishment here, with Subramaniam in his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alejandro is defending against the submission attempts here by Subramaniam.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Subramaniam trying to pass the guard but Alejandro defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alejandro tries to get to full guard but Subramaniam has control of the leg. Subramaniam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Subramaniam sitting and controlling from the half guard. Subramaniam's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Alejandro trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Subramaniam scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Still in half guard, Subramaniam seems content to control. Alejandro throws a strike from the bottom but Subramaniam passes into side control!
Subramaniam controlling the position from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Subramaniam goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Alejandro has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Subramaniam but great work by Alejandro . Subramaniam wants to control but Alejandro postures up. Subramaniam on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Subramaniam tries to get out of the position. Subramaniam is not content to let Alejandro control the position. Subramaniam struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Subramaniam is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alejandro has just dragged him back down to the mat. Alejandro gets to mount! Subramaniam was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Subramaniam sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Subramaniam is trying to get back to full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeru Subramaniam dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Alejandro shoots for a double leg takedown but Subramaniam sprawls well. He's pushed Alejandro 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Subramaniam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alejandro can do to turn this around? Alejandro closes the distance and clinches up with Subramaniam, looking for a takedown. Alejandro pushes Subramaniam against the cage but Subramaniam circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Subramaniam throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alejandro tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Subramaniam is in Alejandro 's guard. Alejandro is wriggling around but Subramaniam manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Alejandro 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Subramaniam is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Alejandro 's shoulder. That is not cool. Subramaniam working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Alejandro wants to control but Subramaniam postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Subramaniam tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Alejandro can't do much from the bottom here. Alejandro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Subramaniam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Alejandro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Subramaniam's half guard. Alejandro trying to advance position but Subramaniam counters by regaining guard. Alejandro is fighting to break Subramaniam's control of his arms but Subramaniam is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Alejandro trying to move into half guard but instead Subramaniam has managed to sweep!
Subramaniam drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alejandro manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Subramaniam has Alejandro in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Subramaniam working for a triangle but Alejandro defends it easily.
Subramaniam will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Subramaniam looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Subramaniam has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeru Subramaniam dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Alejandro stuffs the takedown. Subramaniam shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alejandro as he jumps to the side. A head kick by Subramaniam misses and Alejandro counters with a one-two to the body. Alejandro shoots in and drives through. Subramaniam sprawls well. Subramaniam tries to clinch up but Alejandro circles away and keeps his distance. The fighters circling - Subramaniam throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Alejandro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Alejandro moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Subramaniam takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Alejandro gets caught napping as Subramaniam dives in and scores a takedown. Alejandro manages to retain guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Subramaniam sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alejandro 's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alejandro is trying to control but can't.

Alejandro is looking for a sweep. Subramaniam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alejandro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Subramaniam lands strikes from half guard. Alejandro taking some punishment here, with Subramaniam in his half guard. Alejandro desperately trying to maintain half guard. Subramaniam is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alejandro sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Subramaniam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Further stalling from Subramaniam. Subramaniam stops Alejandro from getting back to his feet.
Subramaniam passes the guard and advances to mount! Subramaniam content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alejandro tries to lock up and control but Subramaniam gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Subramaniam lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Subramaniam controlling from the full mount. A nice elbow there by Subramaniam. Subramaniam lands a nice shot to the head. Subramaniam lands a couple of good shots and Alejandro has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Alejandro is rocked! Subramaniam trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Alejandro doesn't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Subramaniam is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Alejandro is defending well though. Subramaniam let's go of the attempt for now. Subramaniam controlling from the back. Subramaniam looking to break Alejandro 's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Alejandro remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Subramaniam will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Subramaniam gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Zeru Subramaniam showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Subramaniam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
