PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chappo Deneria (ranked 5012 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Hoyang (ranked 7355 p4p, 539 weight class). Ken Hoyang told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deneria closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hoyang's guard.
Deneria controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hoyang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Deneria is trying to trip Hoyang. He has hold of a leg but Hoyang is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Deneria persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Deneria looks up at the clock and then as Hoyang takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Deneria smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Deneria is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hoyang to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hoyang shrugs it off.

Hoyang is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
