Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ari Baba (ranked 1763 p4p, 77 weight class) and Ruslan Karelin (ranked 1714 p4p, 76 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ari Baba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ruslan Karelin! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelin throws a hook but Baba avoids it easily. Baba tries to bum rush Karelin with a series of wild strikes but Karelin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ari Baba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Karelin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Baba swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Karelin works Baba's body with a nice hook. Baba seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A slow jab from Baba misses its intended target. Karelin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Karelin thows a huge punch but Baba dodges it nicely.
Karelin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Karelin lands strikes from half guard. Karelin prevents Baba from standing back up.
Karelin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Karelin is keen to just control but Baba is a slippery customer. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karelin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Karelin working over Baba with some ground and pound. Baba looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Baba's head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Karelin lands a nice short elbow. Karelin lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Baba! More strikes land and this one is all over! Karelin jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ruslan Karelin! Ruslan Karelin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
