Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dingleberry Jones (ranked 2611 p4p, 244 weight class) and Tommy Gavin (ranked 22789 p4p, 443 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hell Yeah. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a hook. Gavin ducked under it nicely.
Jones checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gavin.
Gavin misses with a looping left.
Gavin throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it.
Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jones connects with a nice looking jab.
Gavin misses with a straight right.
Gavin takes one to the chin there.
Gavin thumps Jones with a low kick.
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gavin throws out the jab.
Tommy Gavin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gavin lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at The Coffee Shop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Jones wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jones loads up on a big right hand but Gavin slips the punch.
Gavin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gavin was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Gavin throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
As Gavin tries to get set, Jones tries to push him back and clinch up but Gavin manages to avoid the attempt.
Jones lands with a straight right. Gavin didn't see that one coming.

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jones.
Gavin is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Jones lands with a short shot to the head.
A short body shot lands from Jones as the two fighters clinch.
Jones lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Gavin to his knees! Jones keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
