Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Silent Bob (ranked 7258 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Marques (ranked 2230 p4p, 0 weight class). Marques comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Raining Blood kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Billy Marques is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bob takes one to the side of the head.
Marques with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Marques moves out of range as Bob throws a body kick.
Nice straight punches there by Bob. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bob.
Silent Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marques takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
A head kick by Bob misses
and Marques makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Bob counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Bob throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Marques counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Marques keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bob.
As Bob backs off Marques throws a huge counter combo but Bob manages to avoid it all.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bob, right into the meat.
Marques is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bob rather than just go for the knockout.

Bob keeps Marques at a distance using the push kick.
Marques takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Bob misses with a right hand
and Marques counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Marques scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bob uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Marques has time to react.

It looks like Billy Marques has been cut.
Bob throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A solid body kick from Bob.
Bob misses with a straight right.
Bob lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bob feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marques's calf.
Bob misses with a low kick.
As Bob backs off Marques throws a huge counter combo but Bob manages to avoid it all.
Marques on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Bob pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marques throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice jab there from Marques.
Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marques counters with a stiff right hand.
Bob takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Marques throws a hook to the side of Bob's head but Bob sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Marques digs a good hook to Bob's body.

Bob chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bob shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Bob takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bob throws an off balance right hand
and Marques counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bob just misses with a punch to the body.
Marques takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bob throws a body punch but Marques moves out of range.
Marques let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Bob feints and then cracks Marques's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marques down.
Marques lands with a good body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Silent Bob will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bob takes one on the button.
Bob throws a lazy body kick
and Marques counters with a left to the body.
Marques misses with the combination.
Bob thinks about countering with a body kick.
Bob dips to his left and cracks Marques with an uppercut!

Marques scores with a hook to the body. Bob takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Marques counters with a straight right hand.
Marques throws a body punch but Bob moves out of range.

Marques listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Bob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice jab there from Marques.
Bob has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marques finds it's way round the side to connect with Bob's head.
Bob with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Marques to score with a decent uppercut.
Marques bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bob lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bob.

Marques throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Marques's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marques comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bob rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bob takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bob throws a leg kick which misses Marques's front leg but catches the back leg as Marques tries to avoid it.
Bob throws a lazy body kick
and Marques cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bob scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Bob lands a big head kick that sends Marques to the canvas! Bob follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
