Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joao Andrade (ranked 553 p4p, 79 weight class) and Luke Davidson (ranked 1405 p4p, 181 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joao Andrade! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke Davidson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrade slips a jab from Davidson. Andrade throws a quick counter kick to the body but Davidson avoids it. Andrade looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Andrade staying out of range there. Andrade fires out a quick counter leg kick but Davidson just manages to avoid it. Davidson moves in looking to clinch but Andrade pushes him off. Davidson works Andrade's body with a nice hook. Davidson takes a swing at Andrade's ribcage but misses. Davidson moves to clinch but Andrade breaks away and Andrade counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Luke Davidson has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davidson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Andrade throws out the jab. Davidson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Andrade doesn't seem bothered though. Andrade keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Davidson. Davidson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrade throws a body shot but no joy. Davidson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Davidson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Andrade throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Andrade staying out of range there. Andrade throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davidson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andrade paws at him with a jab and circles away. Davidson misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Andrade to counter with a crisp jab. Andrade throws an overhand right that lands on Davidson's shoulder, as Davidson tries to avoid the shot. Davidson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Andrade. Luke Davidson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davidson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andrade gets through Davidson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Andrade misses with some punches.

Davidson is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Andrade lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Davidson throws a punch but it's blocked by Andrade. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Andrade misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Davidson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Andrade backwards.
It looks like Joao Andrade has been cut. Davidson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Andrade lands with a left to the head. Davidson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Andrade backwards. Andrade blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Davidson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Andrade prevents a body shot from Davidson. Davidson lands a left hand.

Andrade tries to break free but Davidson pushes him back against the cage. Andrade breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Davidson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Andrade's elbow. Andrade lands with a light punch inside. Andrade misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Andrade is leaning against Davidson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Davidson misses with a punch on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Andrade scores with a nice short uppercut. Davidson tries a body shot but Andrade blocks it.
Andrade lands an uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Andrade. Andrade breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Davidson misses with a jab to the body
and Andrade counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Davidson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Andrade. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Andrade. Davidson shrugs it off though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrade lands a right hook to the body.
Andrade takes one to the side of the head.
Davidson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Davidson avoids the body shot from Andrade.
Crunch! Andrade slams his shin into Davidson's torso. Davidson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Andrade. That one must have hurt. Andrade circles away from the clinch attempt.
Andrade throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Davidson thuds his right hand into Andrade's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joao Andrade will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Andrade connects with a leg kick. Davidson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Davidson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Davidson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andrade manages to avoid it. Andrade throws a jab but it's blocked by Davidson. Davidson tries to counter with a clinch but Andrade shakes him off and moves away. Davidson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Andrade doesn't seem bothered though. Davidson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Andrade throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Davidson.
That has opened up Luke Davidson's cut even more. Davidson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Andrade throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Davidson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Andrade counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Davidson! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Andrade!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joao Andrade! Joao Andrade retains his light heavyweight title! Joao Andrade decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
