Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Rodrizinho Chai (ranked 6038 p4p, 134 weight class) and Ze Jiurgite (ranked 24105 p4p, 168 weight class). Jiurgite has chosen Bezerra - O Malandro Era Forte as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Chai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chai is looking to clinch. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jiurgite tries to reverse the position but Chai maintains control. Chai avoids the attempt from Jiurgite to control. Jiurgite is looking to improve his position but Chai isn't that keen on the idea.

Jiurgite might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chai haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Chai is taking a breather. Jiurgite says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jiurgite wants to get back to full guard. Jiurgite is pressing down on Chai's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Chai advances to half guard. Jiurgite is looking for a sweep. Chai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chai seems to be working for a kimura but Jiurgite defends the submission attempt.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Chai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jiurgite keeps working. Chai passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jiurgite! That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Jiurgite tries to lock up and control but Chai gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jiurgite sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Chai is controlling the pace.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Chai tries to free his leg and advance position but Jiurgite is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chai sitting in guard here, content to control. Jiurgite pulls Chai in close to his closed guard and prevents Chai from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jiurgite wins on points by 10 to 7. Ze Jiurgite is the new super heavyweight champion! Ze Jiurgite looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Thank you, Joe! You know, I come from a very poor community in Brazil, I have 3 other jobs. My 5 kids grew without food at the table. Now, with fighting, they can go school and be healthy. This means a lot to me'. Rodrizinho Chai was interviewed post fight and said 'I have nothing but the highest respect for Ze Jiurgite, it was an honor to grapple him tonight.'. |
