Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tun Tun Kho Sitsongrit (ranked 5419 p4p, 442 weight class) and Akkan Kubilay (ranked 1451 p4p, 178 weight class). Akkan Kubilay is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tun Tun Kho Sitsongrit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Akkan Kubilay! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sitsongrit misses with a head kick.
Sitsongrit throws a body punch but Kubilay moves out of range. Kubilay moves out of range of the body kick. A slow jab from Sitsongrit misses its intended target. Sitsongrit throws out a loose jab but Kubilay uses good head movement to avoid it. Kubilay drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sitsongrit defends it well. Sitsongrit swings widly with a right hand
and Kubilay counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sitsongrit! Kubilay trying to control the position but Sitsongrit is working away. Kubilay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kubilay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sitsongrit tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kubilay wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sitsongrit, who protects the arm well. Sitsongrit is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sitsongrit is not content to let Kubilay control the position. Sitsongrit is trying to control Kubilay's posture but Kubilay avoids it. Sitsongrit on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sitsongrit tries to get out of the position. Sitsongrit is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kubilay's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Sitsongrit tries to roll over but Kubilay keeps him under control. Kubilay performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kubilay uses his free foot to push down on Sitsongrit's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sitsongrit. Sitsongrit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kubilay on the ground. Sitsongrit is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sitsongrit is working hard here to advance position. Sitsongrit tries to hold on but Kubilay postures up. Kubilay wants to take his opponent's back but Sitsongrit doesn't allow it. Sitsongrit gets back to half guard. Kubilay seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sitsongrit does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kubilay has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kubilay trying to control but Sitsongrit is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sitsongrit wants to hold on but Kubilay pushes him away. Kubilay has hold of Sitsongrit's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sitsongrit manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kubilay controlling his opponent. Sitsongrit tries to hold on but Kubilay pushes him away. Kubilay can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sitsongrit is looking to escape. Sitsongrit defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kubilay.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kubilay content just to control the position here. Sitsongrit can't escape the position.
Sitsongrit tries to hold on but Kubilay pushes him away. Kubilay lands a heavy elbow. Kubilay controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kubilay takes Sitsongrit's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Sitsongrit is in trouble. A lull in the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akkan Kubilay dominated that round. That's time! Sitsongrit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kubilay checks a low kick from Sitsongrit. Kubilay tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kubilay steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sitsongrit. Sitsongrit gets off balance looking for a body kick and Kubilay counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sitsongrit trying to keep a closed guard but Kubilay is proving a slippery customer.
Sitsongrit is looking for a triangle here but Kubilay uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kubilay staying calm. Akkan Kubilay has got the better of the ground game so far. Kubilay has hold of Sitsongrit's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sitsongrit tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kubilay cranks the arm and Sitsongrit screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sitsongrit, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Akkan Kubilay! Akkan Kubilay seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
