Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Sanchez (ranked 1374 p4p, 183 weight class) and Travis Mitchell (ranked 1942 p4p, 234 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Duele El Carazon. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Travis Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tried to score with a low kick but Mitchell checks it.
Mitchell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Mitchell - that will leave a mark!

Mitchell clinches.
Mitchell lands with a short shot to the head.
Sanchez goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Sanchez breaks the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mitchell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sanchez misses with a body kick.
Mitchell moves out of range of the body kick.
Mitchell swings for the body but Sanchez moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mitchell is looking to score with low kicks.
Sanchez tries a low kick but Mitchell avoids it.

Sanchez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fenrir MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Sanchez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mitchell. That did some damage!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sanchez just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mitchell's brow.

Sanchez tries to pull guard but Mitchell won't allow it.

Mitchell has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Sanchez seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Mitchell can turn it around.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

A close round but Travis Mitchell will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sanchez throws a jab but it's blocked by Mitchell.
Sanchez attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Mitchell moves to clinch but Sanchez breaks away
and Sanchez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sanchez tries to land a front kick but Mitchell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
No joy there for Sanchez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mitchell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Travis Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mitchell lands with an uppercut that bounces Sanchez off the cage and back into range.

Sanchez gets tackled into the cage by Mitchell. Mitchell maintains the clinch.
Mitchell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sanchez jumps guard and drags Mitchell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Travis Mitchell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sanchez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mitchell to score with a decent uppercut.


It looks like Jesus Sanchez has been cut.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mitchell holds on and takes a little breather.
Sanchez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Mitchell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanchez manages to get himself to full guard.

Travis Mitchell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mitchell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
