Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teddy Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Bowhime!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowhime fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bowhime looks for a takedown but Bear sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bowhime pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Bear is looking to break free of the clinch but Bowhime has double underhooks.
Bowhime lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Teddy Bear has been cut.
Bowhime creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bear's defenses.
Bear managing to block the knees to the body from Bowhime.
Bowhime is working for takedown but Bear is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bowhime lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Bowhime throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bear avoids the elbow strike from Bowhime, against the cage.
Bowhime changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bear fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Teddy Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bowhime.
Bowhime tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bear keeps the fight on the outside.
Bowhime tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
John Bowhime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bowhime looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bowhime doesn't manage to clinch there - Bear circles away.

Bowhime forces Bear back against the cage and clinches.
Bear tries to score a body lock takedown but Bowhime shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bowhime using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Bowhime with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bowhime misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bear.

Bear jumps guard and drags Bowhime to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bear keeping moving, preventing Bowhime from controlling successfully.
Bear is breathing heavily.

Bowhime thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bowhime trying to control but Bear is working from the bottom.
Bowhime won't allow Bear to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bowhime drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bear dives on top into guard.
Bear trying to control but Bowhime is working from the bottom.

Bowhime pushes a forearm under Bear's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bear is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Bowhime!
