Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pesci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob tries to clinch but Pesci moves out of range. Bob looks to throw the jab but Pesci is out of range. Nice combo by Bob! Oh, that's hurt him - Pesci falls to the canvas and Bob follows him into side control.
Pesci is rocked!
It looks like Joe Pesci has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bob looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pesci is avoiding damage well.
Oh Pesci is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bob stands up and beckons Pesci to his feet. Pesci seems to have got his legs back now. Pesci lands a nice shot to the body.
Bob instigates a clinch. Pesci is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Pesci with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Bob stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Pesci is trying to drag Bob to the mat but Bob just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Bob has had enough of the clinch but Pesci keeps him there for the moment. Bob drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pesci scores with a knee to the head.
Pesci is breathing heavily. Bob can't find room to land a body shot as Pesci controls the action.
Bob tries to break the clinch but Pesci is controlling the position. Bob prevents Pesci from breaking the clinch. Pesci has Bob pushed against the cage. Pesci lands with a short head shot on the inside. Pesci misses with a knee to the head. Pesci with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Bob wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bob tries to break the clinch but Pesci is controlling the position. Pesci creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bob's defenses. Pesci jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bob walks away with a smile on his face. Pesci gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob misses with a few strikes there.
Pesci wants to clinch. Bob tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Pesci moves into the clinch. Pesci taking a breather. Pesci's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Holy Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pesci tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range. Bob throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pesci. Bob closes the distance looking to clinch and Pesci counters with an outside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bob gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pesci wants to get up but he can't break Bob's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bob keeping moving, preventing Pesci from controlling successfully. Bob trying to keep a closed guard but Pesci is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Holy Bob dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joe Pesci's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bob falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pesci counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pesci working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pesci seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Pesci wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving. Bob is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pesci slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bob keeping full guard, as Pesci tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pesci postures up.
Pesci prevents Bob from getting back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pesci gets a takedown into half guard. Bob works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob keeping moving, preventing Pesci from controlling successfully. Pesci trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bob working a defensive guard but Pesci manages to pass into side control anyway.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bob can do anything to dispel that myth. Bob is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Bob wants to get back to his feet but Pesci is dominant here and he's now got Bob's back! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pesci is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Pesci tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pesci moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Bob throws a combination that misses and Pesci makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bob really felt that one! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pesci misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bob takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pesci misses with the combination.
Joe Pesci is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pesci looks for a takedown but Bob sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pesci shoots in for a double leg but Bob sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bob tries to keep at a distance but Pesci has taken the fight into the clinch. Pesci throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bob blocks it with crossed arms. Nice elbow from Pesci. Pesci misses with a knee strike.
The is referee keeping an eye on Pesci - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Pesci is working for takedown but Bob is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Pesci. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pesci is looking to control Bob's arms but Bob gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pesci has his back to the cage. Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pesci pushes off an throws an elbow but Bob leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A short left from Pesci. Pesci wants a takedown.
Pesci keeps control of Bob as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bob prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bob tries to clinch up. Pesci gets a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bob as Pesci tries to tie him up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pesci can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Bob tries to break the clinch but Pesci is controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Pesci. I think Pesci has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
