Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rhymin Slayin (ranked 1068 p4p, 143 weight class) and David Williams (ranked 1530 p4p, 200 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rhymin Slayin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, David Williams!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slayin pinned against the cage. Slayin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Williams has his takedown stuffed
letting Slayin counter with a right hand.
Williams shoots in but Slayin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rhymin Slayin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Williams.

Williams gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Slayin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Williams looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Slayin is trying to buck Williams off.
Slayin's coaches at Total Impact MMA/KT have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Slayin is looking for a sweep.

Williams working the strikes but Slayin uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Slayin is trying to stand back up but Williams is controlling him

Slayin is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Slayin pushes Williams back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Williams manages to break the clinch.
David Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slayin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
Williams tries to clinch but Slayin is having none of it.
Williams fails with a takedown attempt.
Williams shoots in but Slayin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Slayin throwing a counter right hand but Williams manages to avoid it.
Slayin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slayin wants it to stay on the feet.
Slayin throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily.
Williams slips under a jab.
And Williams tries to counter it with a takedown but Slayin pushes his down on his head and steps out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slayin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Williams was well out of range. Poor timing from Slayin.
Williams is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Rhymin Slayin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but Slayin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Williams moves out of range as Slayin strikes.
Slayin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Williams walks into a left hand.
Williams darts in looking for a takedown but Slayin gets double underhooks and turns Williams into the cage.
Slayin stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.

Williams is rocked!
The fighters circling - Slayin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Slayin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt - Slayin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Williams fails with the takedown.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slayin as he avoids it easily.

Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slayin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Slayin explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slayin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Slayin finish him?
An inside leg kick lands from Slayin.
Williams seems to have recovered his senses.
Slayin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Williams dives in and grabs Slayin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slayin pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.

Williams fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slayin to the ground. Williams is now in Slayin's guard.
Slayin is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Williams drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Slayin dives on top into guard.

Williams has a closed guard, preventing Slayin from standing up.

Slayin stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Williams shoots for a takedown but Slayin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Slayin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Williams.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rhymin Slayin dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Williams shoots in for a double leg but Slayin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Slayin throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease.
A swing and a miss from Slayin.
Slayin cracks Williams with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Slayin throws a jab but it's blocked by Williams.

and Slayin counters with a nice right hand that sends Williams toppling to the canvas! Williams scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Slayin finish him?!
Slayin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slayin wants it to stay on the feet.
Slayin appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Rhymin Slayin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Williams.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slayin throws a monster overhand right that drops Williams! Slayin follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rhymin Slayin!
Rhymin Slayin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
