Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Balink Tarlah (ranked 4872 p4p, 423 weight class) and Frank Drebin (ranked 7329 p4p, 508 weight class). Frank Drebin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Balink Tarlah's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Balink Tarlah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank Drebin!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarlah doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Drebin counters with a stiff right hand.
Tarlah stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tarlah wants it to stay on the feet.

Tarlah shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Drebin's guard.
Drebin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tarlah slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Drebin wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tarlah lands an elbow.
Drebin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tarlah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tarlah remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Tarlah cracks Drebin with a big elbow.
Tarlah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tarlah moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Tarlah in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Tarlah wants to control but Drebin is keeping him busy.
Tarlah happy to just control the position for now.
You can see the frustration on Drebin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Drebin tries to improve position but can't.
Drebin wants to control but Tarlah postures up.
Tarlah wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drebin keeps working.
A lull in the action here.
Tarlah's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarlah advances to mount.
Tarlah looking to finish Drebin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Drebin!
Drebin is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tarlah tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tarlah prevents Drebin from getting the reversal.
Drebin wants to hold on but Tarlah pushes him away.
Tarlah controlling the pace for now.
Tarlah connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Tarlah lands a couple of good shots and Drebin has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Tarlah punches Drebin on the ear.
Tarlah controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Drebin is trying to stand back up.
Drebin is covering up but some of the strikes from Tarlah are getting through and doing damage.
Drebin tries to escape the position.
Tarlah throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Drebin!


Drebin is rocked!
Drebin tries to escape but Tarlah has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tarlah is landing with strikes. Drebin can't take much more of this.
Drebin is still in real trouble! Can Tarlah finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tarlah lands strikes to the head.
Tarlah is landing with strikes from the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Balink Tarlah dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tarlah dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Drebin has had enough and taps out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Balink Tarlah!
During a confident post fight interview, Balink Tarlah thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
