The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergstrem wants to clinch.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a jab when Bergstrem was well out of range.
Jones has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bergstrem tries to clinch up.
Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bergstrem's coach down at London MMA Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bergstrem's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Bergstrem tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bergstrem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice defenses there by Bergstrem.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Bergstrem sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bergstrem closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones wants the takedown. Bergstrem is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bergstrem's guard against the cage.
