Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trey Bridges (ranked 2394 p4p, 259 weight class) and Ryu Hyabusa (ranked 2656 p4p, 283 weight class). Ryu Hyabusa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyabusa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hyabusa throws a series of strikes that have Bridges backpedaling.
Bridges ducks right into an uppercut from Hyabusa.
Bridges looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hyabusa!
Bridges working the head and body with strikes.
Bridges trying to control the position but Hyabusa is working away.
Bridges tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hyabusa takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bridges lands a few punches from side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bridges gets to mount! Hyabusa was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Bridges cracks Hyabusa with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It looks like Ryu Hyabusa has been cut.
Bridges drops a big elbow. That's hurt Hyabusa! More shots from Bridges and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
