The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kavanaugh doesn't manage to clinch there - Soda circles away.
Soda throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kavanaugh drops down looking for a counter takedown but Soda sprawls and moves away.
The fighters circling - Kavanaugh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Soda throws a leg kick which misses Kavanaugh's front leg but catches the back leg as Kavanaugh tries to avoid it.
Soda throws the kick towards the body but Kavanaugh avoids it.
Kavanaugh attempts a counter takedown but Soda avoids it well and moves away.
Kavanaugh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Soda moves into the clinch.
Soda digs a right hand underneath Kavanaugh's ribcage. Kavanaugh let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Kavanaugh tries to pull guard but Soda forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Kavanaugh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Soda walks away with a smile on his face. Kavanaugh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Soda lands with a big left! Kavanaugh is wobbled badly! Soda comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Kavanaugh to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

3 Piece Soda decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
