Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Albert Edward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shea Donagh! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edward misses with the combination.

A combination from Edward does no damage. Donagh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Edward sprawls well. Edward wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Donagh gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Donagh slips a jab and a cross from Edward.
Edward throws a right hand that Donagh ducks under and follows up with a left that Donagh also avoids with ease. Donagh let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Donagh shoots in for a takedown but Edward shows good takedown defense. Edward looks to land a combination but Donagh avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edward gets tackled into the cage by Donagh. Donagh maintains the clinch. Edward pushes Donagh back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Donagh is looking to take this one to the mat. Albert Edward has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shea Donagh. A nice left hand lands by Edward.

Donagh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Edward sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Donagh somewhat. Albert Edward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Edward swinging wildly here.

Edward wants to stand and escape but Donagh is having none of it. Donagh pushes down on Edward's leg and manages to get into half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Donagh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Edward does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Donagh wants to pass to mount but Edward is defending the position. Donagh uses his free foot to push down on Edward's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Edward. Edward is squirming around, avoiding Donagh's attempts to control the action. Donagh is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Edward to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Edward shrugs it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. You get the feeling that Edward really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Donagh working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Edward looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Donagh! Submission of the night perhaps?
