Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Everett (ranked 4653 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxon Hiatt (ranked 4729 p4p, 434 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaxon Hiatt!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett dives in for a single leg takedown but Hiatt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Hiatt moves into the clinch successfully.

Hiatt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Everett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hiatt shoots in looking for a takedown but Everett manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hiatt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hiatt should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Hiatt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Everett fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The referee is keeping an eye on Hiatt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Everett wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hiatt has him pressed against the cage.

Everett controls Hiatt momentarily but Hiatt frees himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hiatt looking to sit in guard and control but Everett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Hiatt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Everett defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Everett controls from within his opponent's guard.

Hiatt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Everett defends well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Everett is fighting to break Hiatt's control of his arms but Hiatt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jaxon Hiatt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Hiatt counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

And Hiatt responds with a good body kick, but Everett manages to step out the way in time.

and Everett makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hiatt swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Everett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Everett wants it to stay on the feet.
Hiatt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Everett throws the kick towards the body but Hiatt avoids it.

Hiatt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Everett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hiatt's waist but Hiatt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Everett off to one side.

Hiatt keeps the fight on the outside.
Jaxon Hiatt seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hiatt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Everett swivels and escapes.

Hiatt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Everett drives through and clinches with Hiatt against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Everett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hiatt pulls his head out easily.

I would just about give that final round to Jaxon Hiatt.
I think Hiatt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
