Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kahdi Mandinos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Smith!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Smith landing strikes.
Mandinos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Smith looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mandinos dodges the ground and pound from Smith.

Smith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mandinos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mandinos is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.
Smith in side control, just content to control the action for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith is looking to take a break and control but Mandinos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Smith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mandinos has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Smith but great work by Mandinos.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Smith is trying to improve his position.

Mandinos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Smith can't do much from the bottom here.

Mandinos looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith manages to get back to half guard.

Mandinos seems to be looking for submissions.

Mandinos is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Smith has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Mandinos is in a lot of trouble! Smith is straining to finish and he's done it! Mandinos taps out! Amazing!
