The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golovkin misses with a looping left.
Vo Minh showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Golovkin.
Golovkin throws a nice looking combination but Vo Minh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vo Minh tries to clinch but Golovkin is having none of it.

Vo Minh has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Golovkin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vo Minh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Golovkin circles away.

Vladmir Golovkin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Golovkin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vo Minh looks for the body kick but Golovkin saw that one coming.

Golovkin lands a left and a right that send Vo Minh crashing to the mat, dazed. Golovkin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Golovkin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Vo Minh is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Golovkin moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Vo Minh! Golovkin continues to tee off on Vo Minh, landing with a left and a right! Golovkin connects with a right hand that leaves Vo Minh sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Golovkin!
