Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Baldwin (ranked 1763 p4p, 218 weight class) and Alonzo Trotter (ranked 1776 p4p, 220 weight class). Alonzo Trotter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brandon Baldwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alonzo Trotter! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Trotter. Trotter looks to land a combination but Baldwin avoids it well. Baldwin feinted there with a counter leg kick. Baldwin lands a leg kick that knocks Trotter off balance momentarily. Baldwin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Trotter changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Trotter has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Baldwin.
Baldwin keeps Trotter at a distance using the push kick. Trotter darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Baldwin throws out a leg kick but Trotter moves out of range and Baldwin only half commits. A nice side step and Trotter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Baldwin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Trotter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Baldwin did well to prevent Trotter getting side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Trotter is trying to control. Baldwin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Baldwin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trotter is working away from the top position though. Trotter prevents Baldwin from improving his position. Baldwin is trying to stand back up but Trotter is controlling him
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Baldwin manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Trotter keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes. Trotter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Baldwin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Baldwin is trying to stand back up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trotter is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Baldwin defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Baldwin wants to get back to his feet. Baldwin trying to control the hands but Trotter won't let him. Trotter looking for the RNC. Well, with Trotter on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Baldwin is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Baldwin wants to get back to his feet. Trotter avoiding Baldwin 's attempts to control his hands. Baldwin is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baldwin has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Trotter. Baldwin trying to get back to his feet but Trotter is in full control for now. Despite being in a bad position, Baldwin is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Baldwin trying to control but not successfully. A lull in the action here.
Trotter has the hooks in. Baldwin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Baldwin is trying to get back to his feet but Trotter has full control of the position and if anything, Baldwin has just worked his way into a worse spot. Trotter is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Baldwin won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Trotter off his unconscious opponent!
