Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terrance Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darrion Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn misses with a few strikes there.

Jackson gets the takedown into side control.
Jackson landing strikes.
Jackson is putting a hurting on Vaughn here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jackson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Vaughn down.
Jackson misses with the ground and pound.
Vaughn avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jackson.

Jackson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jackson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vaughn is trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Vaughn is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Vaughn has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jackson is on him like a limpet, forcing Vaughn back against the ropes.

Vaughn is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jackson is controlling him well.

Jackson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Vaughn sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vaughn has one foot on Jackson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Vaughn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jackson back to the ropes. Vaughn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Vaughn throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily.
Jackson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vaughn looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Vaughn looks to land a body kick but Jackson moved away.
Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Jackson dives in and scores a takedown into Vaughn's guard.
Vaughn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Vaughn wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vaughn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson stops Vaughn from standing up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Vaughn sprawls well.
Vaughn misses with a wild combination.
Jackson is looking to counter punch.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vaughn sprawls well. Vaughn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terrance Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A big right from Vaughn misses.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vaughn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Jackson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Terrance Jackson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Vaughn works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Vaughn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vaughn wants it to stay on the feet.

Vaughn gets caught napping as Jackson dives in and scores a takedown. Vaughn manages to retain guard.

Vaughn wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Vaughn manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A left and a right from Vaughn both land. Nice combination.
Vaughn fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Jackson to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Jackson looks to clinch but Vaughn throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Jackson taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Darrion Vaughn!
Post fight, an emotional Darrion Vaughn said 'He had no right fighting for a title, none!!! I proved that tonight. He's tight with the owner of the company and got handed a shot at the belt. Tonight I ended this mans career. Four straight losses son bye bye. It's my time!!!'.
