The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slovak. Slovak obviously looking to wear him down.
Slovak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Takahashi.
Takahashi shoots in and drives through. Slovak sprawls well.
Slovak lands a body shot.
Takahashi leaves Slovak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Takahashi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Slovak tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Takahashi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Slovak defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Takahashi.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Takahashi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Slovak can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Takahashi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Slovak has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Takahashi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Slovak is surviving well by controlling Takahashi's body position as best he can.
Takahashi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Takahashi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Slovak is now in Takahashi's guard. A big mistake from Takahashi there, giving up the dominant position!

Slovak stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Takahashi throws up his legs and catches Slovak in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Slovak tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Takahashi! That came out of nowhere!
