Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Chase (ranked 21103 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chief Shadow (ranked 2316 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelly Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Shadow! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase lands a jab. Shadow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chase fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shadow on the side of the head. Shadow misses with a takedown attempt - Chase sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Shadow fails with the takedown and Chase counters with a nice uppercut. Kelly Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Shadow. Chase connects with a leg kick. Shadow looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Chase stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chase wants it to stay on the feet. Shadow closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Shadow sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chase defending well though. Chase on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chase tries to get out of the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chase has his hands clasped together around Shadow's back. He's all about the action. Chase blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shadow. Shadow throwing shots but Chase is blocking nicely. Shadow thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Shadow lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shadow thows a huge punch but Chase dodges it nicely.
Shadow working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Chase blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shadow. Shadow seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shadow throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Chase to regain full guard. Shadow with a flurry of punches that miss. Shadow throwing strikes but missing. Shadow scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
It looks like Kelly Chase has been cut. Shadow wants to control from the top but Chase keeps moving. Chase looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shadow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chase looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Shadow working some strikes from top position. Chase might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shadow is looking to work some ground and pound but Chase has wrist control. Shadow with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Shadow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Shadow is looking to work some ground and pound but Chase has wrist control. Shadow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Shadow loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chase trying to control the position.
Shadow drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chase manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shadow has Chase in his guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Shadow working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Chase has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shadow looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Shadow is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chase pulls his head out easily. Chase thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shadow's head. Shadow tries to roll over but Chase keeps him under control. Shadow keeps trying to improve his position. Shadow looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shadow actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chase is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Shadow manages to get to full guard.
Chase wants to control from the top but Shadow keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shadow wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chief Shadow will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kelly Chase's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shadow shoots in for a takedown but Chase shows good takedown defense. Chase connects with a high kick. Shadow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Shadow takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Chief Shadow has been cut. Nice sprawl there from Chase as Shadow shoots in. Shadow throws a jab but it's blocked by Chase. Shadow is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chase sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kelly Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Shadow. Chase lands a big uppercut and Shadow crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shadow looks OK. Chase waves Shadow back to his feet!
Shadow is rocked! Kelly Chase is winning the standup battle so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shadow misses with a takedown attempt and Chase counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Chase cracks Shadow on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shadow falls backwards against the cage. Chase follows up with more strikes that drop Shadow to his knees. Chase keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shadow! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kelly Chase!
