Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Solomon Cook (ranked 4243 p4p, 103 weight class) and Juanito Cortez (ranked 1783 p4p, 43 weight class). Cortez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by $$$. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cook on the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cook tries to bum rush Cortez with a series of wild strikes but Cortez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A relieved looking Juanito Cortez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
