Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 23 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Kruglov!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain takes a swing at Kruglov's ribcage but misses.
Kruglov misses with a right hand
and Cain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kruglov darts in and clinches Cain up against the ropes.
Cain is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Kruglov scores with a shot to the side of Cain's head.
Kruglov avoiding damage.
Cain blocks an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kruglov connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like David Cain has been cut.
Kruglov landing knees to the body.
Kruglov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Cain is looking to control Kruglov's arms but Kruglov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cain has his back to the ropes.

Cain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Cain struggles to land a body shot inside as Kruglov controls his hands.

Cain can't break the clinch.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kruglov.

Kruglov throws a punch but it's blocked by Cain.
Cain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cain takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Cain makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cain appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Kruglov looks to score with a jab to the body but Cain is just out of range.

and Cain counters with a nice uppercut.
Kruglov throws an off balance right hand
enabling Cain to counter with a crisp jab.

Kruglov wants to clinch but Cain slips to the side
and Cain makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kruglov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cain.
Kruglov takes a swing at Cain's ribcage but misses.
Good standup being displayed there by Kruglov as he connects with a hook.

and Cain counters with a right hand to the body.

Cain slips under a jab.
Cain stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kruglov.
Kruglov misses with an uppercut
and Cain counters with a nice uppercut.
Kruglov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cain.
Kruglov throws a big counter head kick but Cain avoids it with no problem.
Kruglov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cain connects with the punch.
Cain takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kruglov wants to land a leg kick but Cain is out of range.

Cain gets a clinch.
Kruglov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kruglov landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Kruglov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cain is defending well for now.
Kruglov misses with a knee to the head.

Kruglov swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Cain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cain circles away from the clinch attempt
and Cain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kruglov moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Cain dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on David Cain's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kruglov slips a jab from Cain.
Kruglov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kruglov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cain. Cain circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kruglov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
David Cain is winning the standup battle so far.
Kruglov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cain under the eye.
Kruglov works Cain's body with a nice hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kruglov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cain is looking to wear down Kruglov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Cain staying out of range there.
It looked like Cain was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kruglov.

enabling Cain to counter with a crisp jab.
Kruglov throws a lazy uppercut
and Cain counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kruglov thinking.
Nice defenses there by Cain.

and Cain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kruglov throws out the jab.

Kruglov throws a low kick but Cain avoids it.

and Cain counters with a stiff right hand.
Kruglov takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Kruglov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cain. Cain circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kruglov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


Kruglov is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kruglov moves to clinch but Cain breaks away
and Cain counters with a left to the body.
Kruglov is still on wobbly legs! Can Cain finish him?

Cain catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Kruglov stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Kruglov walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

Kruglov rushes Cain and presses him up against the ropes.
Kruglov seems to have recovered his senses.

Cain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kruglov swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Cain counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Kruglov goes down! Will Kruglov beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Cain showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cain has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
