Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Joseph Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Whitaker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson dips to his left and cracks Whitaker with an uppercut!
Whitaker misses with a body punch
and Watson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Whitaker thinking.
Watson slips a jab from Whitaker.
Watson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Whitaker sprawls and moves away.
Watson connects with the punch.
Watson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Whitaker shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Watson is looking for a sweep. Whitaker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Whitaker is taking a breather. Watson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Watson wants to improve his position but Whitaker is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whitaker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Watson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Whitaker trying to control but Watson is working from the bottom.
Watson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Whitaker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Watson is keeping the position for now.
Whitaker postures up in Watson's guard and throws a big left but Watson blocks it.
Watson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Whitaker is one step ahead there.
Watson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Watson working for a triangle but Whitaker defends it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Watson keeping moving, preventing Whitaker from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Watson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Whitaker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Watson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Whitaker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Watson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Whitaker defends it easily.
Whitaker wants to control from the top but Watson keeps moving.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Watson is on top in guard.

Watson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Whitaker wants to sweep here but Watson controlling him for the moment.

Watson is looking to pass Whitaker's guard but actually Whitaker recovers to full guard.

Watson tries to free his leg and advance position but Whitaker is retaining full guard.

Watson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Watson won't allow Whitaker to sweep him here.

Whitaker lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Whitaker wants to control from the top but Watson keeps moving.

Watson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Whitaker rolls with it to try and escape but Watson cranks on the arm and Whitaker is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Paul Joseph Watson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
