Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barry Nips!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tournament Clown!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nips closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Clown fails to land.
Nips is struggling to control the position.
Nips has Clown pressed against the cage, preventing Clown from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Nips really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Clown prevents the takedown attempt.
Clown throws a head punch that misses.
Clown working aggressively here.
Nips prevents Clown from breaking the clinch.
Clown swings wildly with an uppercut but Nips uses good head movement to avoid it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nips takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nips manages to pull guard.
Nips trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Nips is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Nips working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Clown has passed into half guard!
Nips regains full guard. Nicely done.
Nips wants to stand but Clown is controlling the position.
Nips throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Clown trying to control the position from guard on top but Nips is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nips has his foot on Clown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Clown works his way back into a safe position though.
Nips looking for a sweep. Not yet Nips, not yet.
Nips controls Clown momentarily but Clown frees himself.
Clown prevents Nips from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Clown misses with an uppercut
and Nips counters with a nice double leg into side control. Clown won't be happy with that.
Nips trying to control the position but Clown is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nips stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nips fails with the takedown
and Clown counters with a nice uppercut.
Nips is breathing heavily.
Nips drives through and clinches with Clown against the cage.
Nips pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Clown lands a right hook to the body.
Nips throws a sloppy head kick and Clown moves out of range easily.
Tournament Clown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A low kick from Nips is predictable there
and Clown counters with a straight right hand.
Clown lands a head shot.
It looks like Barry Nips has been cut.
Clown darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nips is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clown lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Nips head around and knocks him out cold! Clown hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tournament Clown!
