Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Able Archer (ranked 5209 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustine Tupper (ranked 4196 p4p, 0 weight class). Tupper has chosen Can't Stop: Red Hot Chili Peppers as his entrance music. Augustine Tupper is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Able Archer! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 4 losses; Augustine Tupper!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Archer tries to keep at a distance but Tupper has taken the fight into the clinch.

Archer has picked Tupper up - he's going for a ride! Archer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Tupper tries to get to full guard but Archer has control of the leg.
Tupper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Archer is working away from the top position though.
Tupper is staying active underneath Archer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tupper moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tupper has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Archer has passed into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Archer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tupper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tupper is not content to let Archer control the position.

Tupper is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Archer has latched onto it... Big trouble! Archer pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Tupper is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Archer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Able Archer!
