Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dantas Barao (ranked 4868 p4p, 380 weight class) and Corsley Edwards (ranked 6378 p4p, 431 weight class). The key to victory for Dantas Barao has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corsley Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barao misses with a head kick.
Barao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Edwards shoots in for a takedown but Barao shows good takedown defense.

and Barao counters with a low kick, right behind Edwards 's knee.
Barao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Edwards shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barao defends it nicely.
Barao swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Dantas Barao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corsley Edwards.
Edwards shoots in and drives through. Barao sprawls well.
Barao swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards dives in for a single leg takedown but Barao sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Edwards fails with the takedown.
Barao misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barao gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Edwards to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Barao is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Edwards trying to control the position from guard on top but Barao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Edwards pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barao is keeping the position for now.

Barao wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Edwards manages to pass to side control.
Barao is trying to stand up here but Edwards is controlling him well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Barao is staying active underneath Edwards, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Edwards is pressing down on Barao's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barao is holding on for now.
Barao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Edwards wants to take a breather but Barao is having none of it.
Barao is looking to escape.

Edwards stops Barao from getting back to his feet.

Edwards tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barao knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Edwards is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Barao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Edwards on the ground.

Edwards tries for a takedown but Barao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Edwards tries to keep at a distance but Barao has taken the fight into the clinch.
Barao breaks from the clinch.
Edwards shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barao defends it nicely.

Nice uppercut lands for Barao. That snapped Edwards's head back.
Barao feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Edwards's calf.
Edwards drives through with a takedown into guard.
Barao wants to stand up but Edwards is controlling him.

Barao trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Edwards passes Barao's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Edwards trying to mount his opponent but Barao defends it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Edwards maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Barao could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Edwards has cracked it and Barao is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Edwards!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Corsley Edwards!
A very excited looking Corsley Edwards rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Dantas Barao was interviewed post fight and said 'I luhhh you myke'.
