Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mirek Bajorko (ranked 5351 p4p, 394 weight class) and Oleg Mongol (ranked 6307 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Mongol has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mirek Bajorko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mirek Bajorko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oleg Mongol!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mongol tries for a takedown but Bajorko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mongol ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mongol shoots in and drives through. Bajorko sprawls well.
Mongol slips under a jab from Bajorko.
Mongol is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mongol fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mirek Bajorko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Mongol.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mongol fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bajorko was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mongol tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bajorko swivels and escapes.
It looked like Bajorko wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Bajorko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mongol's guard.

Mongol has his foot on Bajorko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bajorko works his way back into a safe position though.
Mongol wants to sweep but no luck.
Bajorko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mongol is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mongol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bajorko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bajorko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bajorko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mongol dives in and grabs Bajorko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bajorko pushes down on Mongol's head and hops out.

Mongol fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bajorko to the ground. Mongol is now in Bajorko's guard.

Bajorko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mongol accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bajorko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mongol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bajorko sprawls well. Bajorko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mongol gets slowly back to his feet.

Mongol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bajorko is fending him off so far but Mongol persists. Nope, Bajorko circles away and we're back to standing.
Bajorko drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mongol sprawls and moves away.

Bajorko is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mongol's shoulder. That is not cool.
Bajorko wants to control but Mongol is keeping him busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mongol can't do much from the bottom here.

Bajorko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mongol keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bajorko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mongol throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bajorko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mongol is in Bajorko's guard.

Bajorko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mongol for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mongol is defended easily by Bajorko.
Bajorko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mongol.
A little feinted left hand from Bajorko on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Mongol goes for a double leg but Bajorko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bajorko continues to drive forward.

Bajorko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bajorko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Still in half guard, Bajorko seems content to control.

Well Bajorko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
