Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Hallaway (ranked 3271 p4p, 379 weight class) and Abner Hill (ranked 4724 p4p, 470 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mathew Hallaway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abner Hill!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hallaway backs up against the cage.
Hill throws a head kick that misses.
Hill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hill slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hallaway will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hill decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hallaway lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hill takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Abner Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hill shoots and misses
and Hallaway counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hill thinking.
No luck for Hill with that takedown attempt.
Hill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hallaway swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hill shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hallaway is trying to defend but Hill finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hallaway wants to get back to his feet.
Hill postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hallaway to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hill fails with the takedown
and Hallaway counters with a nice uppercut.
Mathew Hallaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abner Hill.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hill.
A little feinted left hand from Hallaway on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hallaway lunges at Hill with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hill's hand.
Hill throws a head kick that half lands.
Hill throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hallaway was covering up waiting for the punch and Hill finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hallaway wants to get back to his feet but Hill is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Hill tries to free his leg and advance position but Hallaway is retaining full guard.

Hill cracks Hallaway with a solid left hand.
Hallaway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hill on the ground.
Hill gets to his feet - Hallaway follows without any prompting.
Hallaway checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hill misses with a takedown
letting Hallaway counter with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Hallaway. Hill does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mathew Hallaway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hallaway connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Hill is rocked!
Hallaway throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Hill crashing down! Hill tries to stagger back to his feet but Hallaway just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Hill asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mathew Hallaway!
In his post fight interview, Mathew Hallaway started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
