Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nope Horne (ranked 3856 p4p, 412 weight class) and Sammy Bongo (ranked 3589 p4p, 385 weight class). Bongo has chosen Drums of Heaven as his entrance music. Sammy Bongo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Nope Horne could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sammy Bongo's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sammy Bongo!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bongo clinches up against the cage.
Bongo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Horne can't fight it off and eventually Bongo manages to take the fight to the floor. Horne looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Horne is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bongo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Bongo misses with the head strike.
Horne wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Horne is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bongo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Horne to the mat. Horne regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bongo prevents Horne from getting back to his feet.
Horne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Horne wants to stand and escape but Bongo is having none of it.

Bongo drops back looking for a leg! Horne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Horne manages to kick Bongo off! Bongo jumps back into Horne's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Horne lands a jab-cross combination.
Horne moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bongo shoots in for a takedown but Horne shows good takedown defense.
Bongo darts in looking for a takedown but Horne gets double underhooks and turns Bongo into the cage.
As Bongo tries to get set, Horne tries to push him back and clinch up but Bongo manages to avoid the attempt.
Horne closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bongo wants to clinch up but Horne keeps it at a distance.
Bongo gets tackled into the cage by Horne. Horne maintains the clinch.
Bongo has Horne pressed against the cage, preventing Horne from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Bongo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Horne pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Nope Horne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Bongo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bongo throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Bongo prevents Horne from breaking the clinch.
Bongo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Horne just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bongo jumps guard and drags Horne to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bongo has a closed guard, preventing Horne from standing up.
Horne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Horne trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Bongo wants to sweep here but Horne controlling him for the moment.
Bongo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Horne wants to get back to his feet but Bongo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bongo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bongo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Horne lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Bongo moves in looking to clinch but Horne pushes him off.
Bongo looks for a takedown but Horne sprawls well.
Bongo shoots in for a double leg but Horne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Danga de danga de dang - Horne scores with a four punch combination!

Bongo shoots in looking for a takedown but Horne manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bongo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bongo looks winded!
Horne lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bongo backs up against the cage.
Horne rushes Bongo and presses him up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bongo prevents Horne from breaking the clinch.
Bongo keeps control of Horne as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Horne is trying to break free.
Bongo looking for a takedown.
Horne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horne connects with a high kick.
Bongo gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Bongo tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Horne is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Bongo buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Bongo!! Bongo is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Horne throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nope Horne!
