Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Alexander (ranked 4557 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emilbek Uulu Mambetaly (ranked 3509 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander's entrance music is The pump. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joshua Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emilbek Uulu Mambetaly! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mambetaly tries to clinch but Alexander moves out of range. Alexander gets caught napping as Mambetaly dives in and scores a takedown. Alexander manages to retain guard. Alexander trying to keep a closed guard but Mambetaly is proving a slippery customer.
Mambetaly showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Mambetaly trying to stand up but can't free himself from Alexander's guard. Alexander controls Mambetaly momentarily but Mambetaly frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mambetaly is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Alexander is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mambetaly controlling from the top position. Alexander isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mambetaly stacks Alexander on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mambetaly! Alexander seems a little lost for a moment, as Mambetaly dominates the positioning. Alexander tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mambetaly wants to stand but Alexander has his arm trapped. Alexander is trying to improve his position. Alexander is working hard here to advance position. You can see the frustration on Alexander's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mambetaly moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Alexander is looking for a sweep. Mambetaly controlling the position from side mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander throws a lazy right hand but Mambetaly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Joshua Alexander is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mambetaly scores with a takedown into Alexander's guard. Alexander being controlled here, momentarily. It looks like Mambetaly might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Alexander controls Mambetaly momentarily but Mambetaly frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mambetaly has passed into side control.
Mambetaly gets to mount! Alexander was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Alexander is working to get back to half guard.
Mambetaly stands up from mount. Strange move. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mambetaly gets a double leg takedown into Alexander's guard. Mambetaly is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander swings for the body but Mambetaly moves out of range.
Alexander fails in his attempt to clinch. Mambetaly tries a quick counter leg kick but Alexander is wise to it. Alexander circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Alexander. Those never looked like landing. Mambetaly throws a series of strikes that have Alexander backpedaling.
Alexander looks to land a left hand but Mambetaly moved out of range nicely. Mambetaly with the counter takedown but Alexander avoids it easily. Mambetaly tries to clinch up but Alexander circles away and keeps his distance. Mambetaly dives in and scores a takedown into Alexander's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alexander is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Alexander keeping full guard, as Mambetaly tries to pass. Mambetaly tries to stand but Alexander is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mambetaly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alexander is keeping the position for now. Alexander is controlling Mambetaly's posture. Mambetaly is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Alexander keeping full guard, as Mambetaly tries to pass. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Alexander working a defensive guard here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Alexander throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mambetaly counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mambetaly seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Alexander is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mambetaly is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Alexander controls Mambetaly momentarily but Mambetaly frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mambetaly accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mambetaly sitting in guard here, content to control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Alexander tries to close the distance and clinch but Mambetaly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Alexander missing with a left hand there. Mambetaly was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mambetaly unleashes a big counter combination but Alexander bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Alexander throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mambetaly counters with a takedown into side control. Alexander tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mambetaly tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mambetaly has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mambetaly tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Alexander is trying to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alexander trying to remain calm as Mambetaly controls from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emilbek Uulu Mambetaly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Alexander throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Alexander misses with an uppercut
and Mambetaly counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mambetaly drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alexander looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alexander looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alexander! Alexander working away. Mambetaly is not content to let Alexander control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mambetaly is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mambetaly is trying to control Alexander's posture but Alexander avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mambetaly controls the position for a moment. Emilbek Uulu Mambetaly has got the better of the ground game so far. Alexander trying to control the action but Mambetaly is working from the bottom. Alexander working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mambetaly is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Mambetaly's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mambetaly tries to improve position but can't. Mambetaly is trying to control Alexander's posture but Alexander avoids it. Alexander tries for a kimura but Mambetaly is defending well. Mambetaly can't do much from the bottom here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mambetaly is trying to work for a sweep but Alexander has mounted him! Mambetaly is squirming around, avoiding Alexander's attempts to control the action. Mambetaly slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Mambetaly is staying active underneath Alexander, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mambetaly is looking to improve his position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Alexander gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mambetaly wanted to stand there but Alexander had control of the position. Alexander keeping full guard, as Mambetaly tries to pass. Mambetaly must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mambetaly looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Let's hope that Mambetaly has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Emilbek Uulu Mambetaly comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mambetaly winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
