Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Forest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sam stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). sam stone is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Forest Gump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, sam stone!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gump closes the distance and pushes stone back into the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as stone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gump moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gump is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gump is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gump stands up out of the half guard.

Gump looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Gump wants to lay and pray for a moment but stone keeps working.

Gump wants to stand up but stone is controlling the position.

Gump passes to side control.
stone is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gump is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gump shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Forest Gump dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Gump fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. stone sprawls well initially but Gump persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gump looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Gump thows a huge punch but stone dodges it nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
stone tries to clinch up but Gump circles away and keeps his distance.

Gump shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gump was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gump wants to take his opponent's back but stone doesn't allow it.
Gump fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Gump prevents stone from getting the reversal.
Gump cracks stone with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

stone throwing hammer fists to the chest of Gump. What's that going to do exactly?
Gump trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Gump is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. stone can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gump tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Forest Gump overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

stone manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Gump wants to lay and pray for a moment but stone keeps working.
stone lands with a few short shots to the body.
Gump not doing much here.
Gump passes to full mount!

stone throws up some feeble strikes from the bottom. Gump smiles and locks on to an arm, pivoting beautifully as he drops to the side for an armbar. stone tries momentarily to escape but he knows he's done and taps furiously to avoid injury. Confident submission skills displayed there by Gump.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Forest Gump!
