Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doug Crocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peyton Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Crocket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peyton Miller!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crocket tries to avoid it but Miller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crocket to the ground. Crocket escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Miller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crocket circles away.

Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Crocket keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Crocket is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Miller pulls his head out easily.
Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crocket. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Miller tries to stand and escape but Crocket is controlling the position.
Crocket is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Crocket looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Miller working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Crocket is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miller's back!

Crocket is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Miller knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Miller for a finish.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Miller is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Miller staying busy and making it hard for Crocket to control.
Miller tries to roll but Crocket sticks to his back.

Crocket looking to break Miller's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Miller remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Crocket will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Miller rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Crocket is breathing heavily.
Miller is trying to get back to full guard.
Miller is looking to escape.

Crocket is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miller is just riding it out for now. Crocket eventually gives up the hold.
Miller wants to control but Crocket is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Crocket is looking for a kimura here.

Crocket is trying to control. Miller wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Crocket is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miller is just riding it out for now. Crocket eventually gives up the hold.
Crocket frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Crocket is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Crocket prevents Miller from standing back up.
Miller gets full guard.
Crocket won't allow Miller to sweep him here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miller lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crocket!
Miller is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Crocket can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Miller has control of Crocket's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Crocket regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller prevents Crocket from getting the reversal.
Crocket sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Crocket is looking to control Miller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Crocket avoid being mounted?

Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crocket manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Crocket has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Miller doesn't defend quickly enough and Crocket has managed to lock this one up! Can Miller escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Crocket on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Doug Crocket!
