Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Foster (ranked 24011 p4p, 458 weight class) and Dave Barnley (ranked 5478 p4p, 413 weight class). Charlie Foster has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Barnley! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Barnley. Foster looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Barnley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barnley is trying to control the position but Foster postures up. Foster passes Barnley's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Barnley trying to control but Foster postures up.
Foster really is a fat lump. Barnley regains full guard. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Foster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barnley is trying to keep Foster in close.
Foster working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster won't allow Barnley to sweep him here. Foster wants to control from the top but Barnley keeps moving. Foster wants to stand but Barnley has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Barnley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Foster is one step ahead there. Foster is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Barnley trying to keep a closed guard but Foster is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A slow jab from Barnley misses its intended target. Barnley misses with a leg kick and Foster counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Barnley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Foster is stalling in the full guard. Foster wants to pass the guard but Barnley is keeping the position. Foster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster wants to get up but he can't break Barnley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Foster stops Barnley from standing up. Foster postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Foster fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barnley avoids it really well and circles away. Foster shoots in for a takedown but Barnley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As Foster backs off Barnley throws a huge counter combo but Foster manages to avoid it all. Foster misses with a double jab
and Barnley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Come on Barnley - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Foster shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Foster not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Barnley working a defensive guard here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Foster dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Horrible takedown attempt by Foster or perhaps it was just good defense by Barnley, which made it look bad. Foster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barnley napping and manages to drive through into side control! Barnley wants to get back to his feet. Barnley looks to move to half guard but instead Foster has passed into mount! Damn! Foster controlling the pace for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Foster has hold of Barnley's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barnley manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Foster goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Barnley turns into him and now he's in Foster's guard.
Barnley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barnley throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnley trying to control but Foster is working from the bottom. Foster has control of Barnley's left arm, preventing Barnley from doing any damage. Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position. Barnley passes Foster's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Barnley wants to stand up but Foster has a hold of him and won't allow it. Barnley wants to take a breather but Foster is having none of it. Barnley content to control rather than advance. Charlie Foster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barnley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Foster's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnley trying to control from half guard but Foster is working away. Foster has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barnley is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Foster looking to score a takedown here. Barnley is defending well but Foster drives through and ends up in Barnley's guard. Foster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Barnley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Foster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barnley on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foster working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barnley keeping full guard, as Foster tries to pass. Foster's corner is telling him to maintain position. Foster won't allow Barnley to get back to his feet. Foster controlling from the top position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Barnley wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Charlie Foster will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Barnley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Foster as he jumps to the side. Foster keeps the fight on the outside. Foster wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Barnley misses with a head kick.
Foster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barnley's guard. Barnley is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Foster dives into side control.
Foster remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Foster content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Barnley is trying to control Foster's posture but Foster avoids it. Foster takes a little break here. Barnley wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Barnley is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnley struggling a bit here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Foster gets the takedown into side control. Foster wants to stand but Barnley has his arm trapped. Barnley tries to bench press Foster off him but Foster keeps the position. Foster tries to move to mount but Barnley blocks the move with his legs. Foster advances to full mount. Barnley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnley tries to hold on but Foster postures up. Barnley is trying desperately to improve position. Barnley is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Charlie Foster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnley swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Foster showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Foster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
