The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnet jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Slasher is defended easily by Sonnet.
Sonnet misses with a looping left.
Vrasidas Slasher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slasher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Slasher shoots in but no luck this time.
Slasher fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sonnet.
Sonnet throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slasher shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sonnet napping and manages to drive through into side control!
