Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Huber (ranked 2873 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthaus Gold (ranked 1385 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Matthaus Gold was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carl Huber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthaus Gold!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gold takes the fight into the clinch.
Gold lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.


It looks like Carl Huber has been cut.
Huber throws a punch but it's blocked by Gold.
Huber tries to score a body lock takedown but Gold shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nice body punch from Gold.
Huber misses with a punch on the inside.
Huber wants a takedown.
Gold lands a body punch in the clinch.
Huber is breathing heavily.
A body shot lands from Gold.
Gold stalls.

Gold jumps guard.

Huber got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Huber has managed to get both his arms back between Gold's legs - danger averted.

Gold is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Huber is aware though and is defending well.

Gold working for a triangle but Huber defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huber wants to pass the guard but Gold is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Huber thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gold is looking for a triangle but Huber pushes his legs off easily.
Huber slips nicely into half guard.

Gold is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Huber pulls his head out easily.
Huber works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Huber trying to control but Gold is having none of it.
Gold has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Gold trying to control but not successfully.

Gold is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Gold's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huber slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Gold is keeping busy.
Gold just trying to survive but Huber is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Gold is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Huber has locked on a rear naked choke here! Gold is tapping out! The fight is over!
