Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jarrod Quincy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeremy Motts! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quincy avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Quincy fails in his attempt to clinch. Motts gets tackled into the cage by Quincy. Quincy maintains the clinch. Motts tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A head punch on the inside from Quincy fails to land. Motts misses with the head strike.
Motts looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Motts blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Motts misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch blocked on the inside by Quincy. Motts misses with some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Quincy. Motts lands with a right to the head. Quincy blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Quincy is trying to maintain a safe position but Motts gets an underhook and turns Quincy into the cage. Quincy has a couple of punches blocked by Motts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Motts keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Quincy's efforts to push away. Motts lands a body shot in the clinch.
Motts pushes Quincy back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Motts softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
It looks like Jarrod Quincy has been cut. A short right from Motts. Motts throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Quincys head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Still in the clinch, Motts scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Motts lands a hook that snaps the head of Quincy backwards. Motts lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Quincy swings wildly with an uppercut but Motts uses good head movement to avoid it. Motts lands a right hand. Quincy throws a head punch that misses. A nice left hand lands by Motts.
Motts working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Motts doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Motts lands with a short shot to the head. A short right from Motts. Motts throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Quincys head. Good body shot from Motts.
Quincy is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Motts lands an uppercut. Motts makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Motts lands a body shot in the clinch.
Motts lands a hook that snaps the head of Quincy backwards. Motts digs a right hand into Quincy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Quincy's gas tank. Still in the clinch, Motts scores with a nice short uppercut. Motts lands a big right hand that drops Quincy! The killer instinct kicks in and Motts finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Motts!
