7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tiago Da Costa! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Humpinator scores with a takedown into Da Costa's guard. Humpinator thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Humpinator got a little sloppy there for a moment and Da Costa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Humpinator has managed to get both his arms back between Da Costa's legs - danger averted. Da Costa being controlled here, momentarily. Humpinator tries to free his leg and advance position but Da Costa is retaining full guard. Da Costa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Humpinator is aware though and is defending well. Humpinator engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Humpinator is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Da Costa.

Humpinator has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Da Costa tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Humpinator presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Humpinator moves to the back position. Da Costa showing good submission defense here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Humpinator passes his arm under Da Costa's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Da Costa taps!

After the fight, Lardo Humpinator was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
