Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Isadore James (ranked 5423 p4p, 489 weight class) and Teiji Iori (ranked 5587 p4p, 495 weight class). James kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Teiji Iori was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iori doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
James takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Iori sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Iori takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Iori tries to clinch but James is having none of it.

I was talking to James's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Isadore James will probably get the nod.

James scores with a big combo that sends Iori crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Iori flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! James jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
