PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Miguel (ranked 24099 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Ramirez (ranked 6080 p4p, 0 weight class). Miguel comes into the arena with tennessee whiskey blaring out of the sound system. Ramirez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by OMB Peezy - Lay Down. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miguel stuffs the takedown.
Ramirez tries to clinch up.
Miguel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ramirez is fending him off so far but Miguel persists. Nope, Ramirez circles away and we're back to standing.

Ramirez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miguel circles away quickly and effectively.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ramirez is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Ramirez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Miguel.
Miguel looks to score with a jab to the body but Ramirez is just out of range.

Ramirez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miguel walks away with a smile on his face. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Miguel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ramirez shoots in looking for a takedown but Miguel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ramirez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
