Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Greg Bundy (ranked 2111 p4p, 54 weight class) and Jai Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Greg Bundy! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Jai Hale! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The fight moves into the clinch position. Bundy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hale avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bundy drags the fight down to the ground.

He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Bundy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Bundy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hale manages to get himself to full guard.

You can't force these things though and Bundy defends well. Bundy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bundy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hale on the ground. Bundy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hale has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bundy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hale is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bundy is aware though and is defending well. Bundy passes Hale's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bundy slows the pace down in half guard. Bundy wants to pass the guard but Hale is defending well.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bundy in particular looking to stall. Bundy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hale looking for submissions off his back. Bundy is taking a breather. Further stalling from Bundy. Hale is looking to improve his position but Bundy isn't that keen on the idea. Hale is still trying to improve position. Bundy looking to control and managing it successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hale can do anything to dispel that myth. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Bundy is stinking the place up with his stalling.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bundy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hale has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?!
