The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madness swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Luger counters with a single leg into guard. Madness didn't expect that.
Luger with a nice head shot there.
Luger stops Madness from standing up.
Luger postures up in Madness's guard and throws a big left but Madness blocks it.
Luger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Luger is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Madness has momentary wrist control but Luger slips an elbow through the middle.
Luger is in close to Madness's body, working some short punches and elbows.
It looks like Rand Madness has been cut.
Luger has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
