Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lukas Whiskey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred El Celso!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Whiskey misses.
Whiskey moves in looking to clinch but El Celso pushes him off.
Whiskey chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Whiskey darts in trying to clinch

and El Celso counters with a single leg into guard. Whiskey didn't expect that.
El Celso controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
El Celso sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Whiskey's guard.
El Celso trying to pass the guard but Whiskey defending well.
El Celso content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like El Celso might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

El Celso in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Whiskey tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from El Celso!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Fred El Celso!
A relieved looking Fred El Celso thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
