Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 5376 p4p, 441 weight class) and Takeru Ishii (ranked 23278 p4p, 507 weight class). Takeru Ishii is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Po. Those never looked like landing.
Ishii swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Po.

Ishii stalks Po and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Po's face. Po staggers backwards, shaken.
Ishii sizes up Po with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Ishii clobbers Po with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Ishii lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

No joy there for Po, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ishii is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Po had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Po just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ishii's brow.

Po escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ishii throws out a leg kick but Po moves out of range and Ishii only half commits.
A punch lands to the side of Po 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Po misses with a two punch combination.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Po lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ishii has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ishii and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ishii. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Ishii throws a combination. Po tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Ishii lands a nice leg kick that just misses Po's sensitive parts.
Po has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Po there as he acknowledges the shot.

Po chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ishii can pounce on him.

Ishii tries to close the distance and clinch but Po swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Po throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ishii connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Po momentarily.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ishii checks a leg kick.

That kick from Ishii tenderised Po's leg. Po is trying to keep his angry face on.

It looked like Po was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ishii.

Takeru Ishii showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Takeru Ishii is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Takeru Ishii.
I've got Ishii winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
