Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gok Won Khun (ranked 735 p4p, 110 weight class) and Dom Severini (ranked 676 p4p, 99 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gok Won Khun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Severini! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severini gets a takedown into half guard. Khun blocking the ground and pound attempt from Severini. Khun is looking to control Severini's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khun avoid being mounted? Severini throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Severini landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Khun blocking the ground and pound attempt from Severini. Khun is looking to improve his position.
Severini wants to control but Khun is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khun avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Severini. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Severini looks to land a strike but Khun avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Severini wants to control from the top but Khun keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Severini misses with a hook
and Khun counters with a thumping low kick. Khun tries to clinch but Severini is having none of it. Severini rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Khun counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khun fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Severini avoids it really well and circles away. Severini misses with a body shot.
A combination from Severini does no damage. Khun fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Khun clinches up with Severini and pushes him back against the cage. Severini misses with a hook to the ribs.
Severini is working for takedown but Khun is calmly controlling the position for now. Severini swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Khun keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Severini. Khun moves in looking to clinch but Severini pushes him off. Severini throws out a loose jab but Khun uses good head movement to avoid it. Khun slips under a jab. Severini throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khun is looking for a counter combo. Severini clobbers Khun with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Severini. Khun showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Severini.
Severini misses with an uppercut
letting Khun counter with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khun shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Severini pinned against the cage. Severini gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gok Won Khun. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Khun lands with a kick to the temple. Severini shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Severini drops Khun with a straight right hand, right on the button! Severini follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dom Severini! Dom Severini seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
