Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chong Tay (ranked 3121 p4p, 348 weight class) and James Adams (ranked 6085 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thom Pace - Maybe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! James Adams will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tay tries a head kick but it misses.

Adams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tay makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Adams works Tay's body with a nice hook. Adams gets the takedown into side control. Tay throws Adams to one side and escapes!

Tay takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Adams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tay was covering up waiting for the punch and Adams finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tay can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adams controls the pace. Adams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Adams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Adams postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Adams controls from within his opponent's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Tay working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Adams.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tay throws the kick towards the body but Adams avoids it. Adams shoots in and bounces Tay off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Adams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tay's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Adams's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Adams is looking to work some ground and pound but Tay has wrist control. Tay keeping full guard, as Adams tries to pass. Tay wants to stand and escape but Adams is having none of it. Adams sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tay's guard. Adams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Tay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tay tries to get out of the position. Adams looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tay blocking the ground and pound attempt from Adams. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chong Tay will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tay did well to prevent Adams getting side control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Adams connects with a nice short shot to Tay's temple. Adams controlling the action here. Tay is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Adams scores with a couple of nice shots. Adams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Adams throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that's the end of the fight! James Adams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Adams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
